Buying and printing Titleist golf balls

Titleist is the most played ball brand on tour and a firm favourite to buy as well as have printed. Here is the overview of the models and who they suit.

The models at a glance

The Pro V1 and Pro V1x are the tour balls: premium, with plenty of control. The TruFeel is extra soft and more accessibly priced, and the AVX offers a soft feel with a lower flight. You can read more about the differences in Pro V1 vs Pro V1x.

Why Titleist as a corporate gift?

A printed Titleist radiates quality. For a premium corporate gift or an important client that makes an impression — you are not just giving a ball, but a ball with a name on it.

Buying and printing in one

With us you buy original Titleist balls and, if you wish, have them printed with your logo straight away, from 144 balls and always with a digital print proof beforehand. See all the options at Titleist golf ball printing.

Spreading your budget across the group

Most clients have one budget and two wishes: to give something good, and to have enough balls. Those two collide sooner with a premium ball than an entry-level model. A workable approach is to split: the dearer models for a small group of guests or as a prize, a keener-priced model for the wider field.

A split works well at a sponsor competition or client day with principal guests and general participants. The principal guests get a dozen of a tour ball, the rest a sleeve of something more accessible. For the wider field, printing Pinnacle is the obvious route; the difference between the two Pinnacle models is set out in Pinnacle Soft vs Rush.

What such a split costs depends on the ratio between the two quantities. Prices are on request; tell us how many people are coming and what division you have in mind, and we can be concrete in one go.

Original balls and what that means in practice

We supply original Titleist balls, not look-alikes or refurbished stock. The ball carries the manufacturer's own brand print and your logo goes alongside it. Whoever receives it therefore sees both the brand and your name, which explains the appeal of a printed Titleist.

When comparing offers elsewhere, watch for terms like refinished, recycled or lake balls. Those are used balls; they can play well, but they are a different product with a different presentation. What else to watch for when buying is set out in buying golf balls: what to look out for.

Packaging: loose, sleeve or dozen

A golf ball is supplied as standard in sleeves of three, four sleeves to a dozen. That unit shapes your order: for a goody bag, one sleeve per person is usual; for a prize, a whole dozen.

If you want the sleeve to play a part in the presentation, raise it early. What is possible in packaging varies by model and is agreed in discussion; the print on the ball is a separate matter. For business use I set out the usual options at golf ball printing for businesses.

Several models in one order

The minimum of 144 applies per model and per print, not per order overall. So if you want both a tour ball and an entry-level model with the same logo, that is two runs of at least 144 each. Worth knowing before you devise a split that does not add up.

Using the same logo file for both models makes the preparation simpler. You receive a digital proof per model, because the ball and the available area differ per model. For that file the usual requirements apply, set out in supplying your logo for golf ball printing.

Planning around a date that will not move

A golf day does not shift, so count back from the date rather than forward from today. After your approval of the proof, a production time of five to fifteen working days applies, and the time before approval comes on top: supplying your file, receiving the proof, getting it signed off internally and possibly a correction round.

That internal sign-off is more often the bottleneck than production. Appoint one person with authority to decide and diarise a slot for reviewing the proof. Starting four to six weeks before the day gives you room; shorter is sometimes possible, but then availability of the model becomes the deciding factor. Delivery goes to addresses in the Netherlands and Belgium, see shipping and delivery.

What determines the price

We give prices on request, because several factors feed in. The ball model is the biggest factor: a tour ball and an entry-level model sit far apart. Then the number of balls, where larger quantities work out better per unit.

The print itself counts too: the number of colours and print positions on the ball. One colour in one position is the simplest and commonest specification. To keep costs keen, that is usually the first place to find savings without the design suffering. If you are unsure about the model, the golf ball selector gives a first steer and Mark will look at it with you.
