Step by step, what actually happens?

You know the four main steps: choose, supply, approve the proof and receive. But what happens between those steps? After you pick a model, we check whether your chosen logo or text sits well on that particular ball surface. An elongated logo lands differently from a round emblem, and fine line work calls for a little more care in the layout. At this stage there is room to think along with you — so you are not locked into a single automatic outcome, but get a result that suits your logo.

Once we have your file, we convert it into print-ready artwork in one to five spot colours and determine the correct placement on the ball. Preparing your file well

A crisp print starts with a good file. Vector files (EPS, AI or PDF) are ideal, because they stay razor-sharp at any scale — whether the logo goes large or small on the ball. Make sure fonts are converted to outlines, so no typefaces can drop out during processing, and that lines are not too thin; very fine hairlines can disappear on the curved, textured ball surface, and you want to head that off in advance.

Only have a PNG or JPEG? For simple logos we can often still work with that, provided the resolution is high enough and the background is cleanly cut out. Supply your house-style colours as PMS/Pantone values for the best colour match, and bear in mind that very small details and subtle gradients are limited on a golf ball. The proof round in detail

The digital proof is the heart of our process and your most important checkpoint. You receive a visual representation of your logo or text on the chosen ball model, so you can see in advance exactly how size, placement and colour turn out. This is the moment to look critically: is the spelling correct, is the logo straight, is the colour as you expected, and is everything legible on the curved shape? Small corrections are still easy to make at this point.

Crucially: not a single ball is printed before you have approved the proof. If you spot something that could be better, we adjust it and send you an updated proof to check. That way you avoid surprises on delivery and know exactly what you are getting. Do take your time over this step and, if you can, have a colleague or fellow committee member look too — four eyes see more than two, especially with names and dates. Questions while reviewing? Production, delivery and reorders

Once you approve the proof, production begins. The genuine Titleist or Pinnacle balls are professionally printed in the colours and placement you approved, exactly as on the proof. From approval, allow a delivery time of 5 to 15 working days. So plan your order with a little margin if the balls are meant for a specific date, such as a tournament, golf day or anniversary, and order a few weeks early rather than a day late.

Happy with the result and want to reorder later? The second time often goes more smoothly, because your artwork and preferences are already known — although a quick check of the proof remains sensible, especially if you want to change model or colour. Common mistakes to avoid

Most hiccups are easy to prevent. The classic is supplying a logo as a small, blurry image from an email signature or a website — lovely on screen, but too low in resolution for a clean print. So always supply the original, preferably as a vector file. A second pitfall is wanting too much detail: a ball is small and curved, so a logo with tiny text or countless colour nuances rarely comes across well. Opt for a clear, recognisable version of your logo that stays legible at a distance too.

Timing is underestimated as well. Anyone ordering a week before a tournament runs into trouble with the delivery time and calmly reviewing the proof.
